The Grant County Library held a 90th birthday celebration along with their holiday open house on December 11th.
The Grant County Library was started in 1929 by the Hyannis Women’s Club. It was voted as a county library in 1942. The first librarian was Frances Hayward from 1929-1930 twelve since then, including the present director Vickie Retzlaff. Many area residents have served on the library board or the library foundation board.
